Volunteer Opportunities

How can I volunteer with Environment Erie?

There is a lot going on at Environment Erie and it is our outstanding and dedicated volunteers who are the backbone of our success!

Administrative work

Assist Environment Erie staff at the Tom Ridge Environmental Center with multi-media, data entry, phone calls and other clerical work.

Fundraising

Assist in fundraising by calling donors and sponsors, writing grants, or helping during our annual appeal.

Special events

Help with Bike Around the Bay, Earth Fest, the Earth Action Youth Summit and other community events.

Mentoring*

Be a positive role model for a group of youth we work within our neighborhood after-school programs.

*Child abuse and criminal background clearance required (PA Act 34 and 151)

Facilitating*

Help get Erie county youth involved in environmental service-learning and civic engagement by running one of our neighborhood after-school programs.

Be an Expert

Students involved in an Earth Action project need your expertise! Help students with powerpoint, making a video, starting a garden, writing a newspaper article, and much more.

Community projects

Get involved with a variety of community projects such as planting trees, and building rain barrels and rain gardens.
