Environment Erie Raises $10,000 at Fundraiser

Environment Erie hosted 220 of Erie’s finest sleuths for its annual murder mystery dinner at the Bourbon Barrel on Saturday, February 16. The event raised $10,000.

Guests had the opportunity to interact with the cast of In All Seriousness to ask questions and get clues to solve the murder at a wedding gone awry.

“This event is helps us raise those core mission funds we need to do the work to create a sustainable community. We appreciate the support we received from all in attendance.” said Executive Director, Honey Stempka.

Just like at any wedding, guests went home with a favor: a reusable straw.

“We need to promote sustainability in everything we do, the reusable straw is something everyone can use in place of plastic, single-use straws,” said Stempka.

This event was sponsored by Environment Erie's Murder Mystery by Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, Metz Culinary Management, Marquette Savings Bank Gannon University's Theta Omega Chapter, and Penn State Behrend.
