Nearly 125 cyclists attend Environment Erie’s annual fundraiser, “Bike Around the Bay” on Saturday, May 19 at Presque Isle State Park.
Despite the weather, the turnout was better than expected. “We never know how the weather is going to be this time of year. We got rained out last year, so it’s nice to see people riding even though the morning looked ominous”, said Executive Director, Honey Stempka.
Riders had the option of a 10, 30 or 50 mile ride. Environment Erie raised $18,000 from this event.
