    "Only rain down the drain, protect your drinking water." "Don't let litter stray, drains to Presque Isle Bay."
    "Give fish a break, pollutants drain to lake."
    The messages, painted in bright green and white, now cover 10 storm drain covers at intersections on West 18th Street from Walnut to Cherry streets in Erie's Little Italy neighborhood.

    The Weed Warriors program, in its second year at Presque Isle State Park, musters volunteers to remove invasive plants, including Oriental bittersweet and garlic mustard. The mustard, at some point introduced from Europe, crowds out native plants that are needed to sustain park insects, birds and mammals.
